After taking a two hour flight from London Heathrow to
Prague we finally arrived. We then had to take a further 40 minute journey to
our hotel, Hotel Yasmin. Our journey consisted of walking to terminal 1 bus
stop, then taking the 119 bus towards Nadrazi Veleslavin, followed by taking
the train to Muzeum and then walking four minutes to the hotel. Although it
took us a long journey to get to the hotel from the airport, living in this
hotel meant that the sites and city centre were within walking distance. When
we arrived at our hotel we were too early so we couldn’t check in to our room
and as a result had to sit down in the lobby to rest. After a little rest we
searched on the internet for a nearby restaurant and found a place right opposite
the hotel, Restaurant Bredovsky Dvur and this was where we decided to dine.
A welcome sign welcoming us to Prague as we left the airport to find the bus. ^
The train we took at the station which was to take us to our stop Muzeum
Upon entering the restaurant, it was packed and very busy
and wherever you looked, left, right and centre, it was very difficult to find
a seat. After a few minutes of searching we sat down and were surprisingly
presented with a Korean menu which of course got given back to the waiter. After
scanning the menu, three different main meals, fried chicken with schnitzel,
goulash and wild boar were chosen and shared between three people. The
schnitzel was very tasty and I knew it was something that I would eat again.
However, the wild boar meat was quite mushy and salty and was definitely
something I didn’t enjoy eating. Every time I took a bite I had to have a sip
of my coke and in the end I ended up not eating it.

After having our late lunch/early dinner, we headed back to
our hotel where we freshened up before heading out to Wenceslas Square, the
city centre. The walk to the square only took around 7-10 minutes which meant
it was very close to the city centre. At Wenceslas Square there were tones of
people which made it hard to walk around, we were like sardines. However, in the end we managed to get to where we wanted to go and were able to see the clock tower
building and a Christmas tree show where the tree did a light dance. It was
then time to head back to the hotel to shower, sleep and prepare for a full long day tomorrow.
